MINISTRY OF INTERIOR SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WITH QATAR FOUNDATION FOR SOCIAL WORKS
Ministry of Interior signed a memorandum of cooperation with Qatar Foundation for social works, aiming to strengthening cooperation to serve the target groups in areas related to the security, safety and cohesion of families and society.
The memorandum was signed by H.E. Amal Bint Abdellatif Al Manai, Executive Chairman of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, and H.E. General Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Al Ansari, Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Interior,
The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Interior in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry and the Foundation.
The agreement is concerned with strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and Qatar Foundation for Social Work in fields related to the objectives of the Foundation and the affiliated centers, and in the exchange of experiences, information and data for the target groups.
Opening of Aman Center branch at the community police headquarters
the Opening of a branch at the community police headquarters for protection & Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman) and the Family Advisory Center (WAFA), which are affiliated to Qatar Foundation for Social work, was also announced in order to facilitate service access to targeted social situations, shorten procedures and time, and provide advice, treatment or assistance and rehabilitation before they are transferred to the relevant authorities.
H.E. Amal Bint Abdellatif Al Manai: The signing of the Memorandum strengthens the complementary relationship between the government and civil sectors and emphasizes participatory methodology in development and social work.
"We are Keen on working with the governmental sector, especially the Ministry of Interior, and signing the memorandum is an extension of the cooperation that has already been established between the Foundation and its centers and the Ministry of Interior and its concerned administration on the other hand," said Amal Bint Abdul Latif al-Manai, Executive Chairman of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work.
The Ministry of Interior protects and preserve the security of individuals and families in the State, which is in line with the mission of Qatar Foundation for Social work and its centers in achieving security and social protection, the ultimate goal of Qatar Foundation for Social work.. She emphasized that in special cases related to women and children who went to the community police, were transferred to the office to advise or qualify before resorting to the competent authorities and within the necessary privacy and confidentiality for such cases..

Dr. Mansour Al-Saadi Al-Yafei: The governmental sector is considered a partner of the civil society sector
Dr. Mansour Ahmed Al-Saadi Al-Yafei Executive Director of the Center for Protection and Social Rehabilitation (Aman), pointed out , the importance of the Memorandum as the basis for cooperation between the Foundation represented by the affiliated centers and the Ministry represented by the security departments and the community police, in addition to the opening of a Aman center office in the community police Headquarter to receive cases and provide various aspects of psychological, social and legal counseling support.
And mentioned that the civil society sector is considered an integral partner in the overall development, along with the governmental and private sectors, that was reflected in continued cooperation, integration and development.

Mr. Rashid Ahmed Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Family Consulting Center (Wifaq), said that the Memorandum of understanding is considered a very important step in the Field of social partnership between the governmental sector and civil society organizations, which promotes the exchange of experience and capabilities among the cooperating authorities, thus contributing to the achievement of common goals for the family and the country's society to be stable, coherent and growing. Regarding The opening of Wifaq Office at the Community Police Department he explained that the Office is a new window of access to target groups, which would facilitate the access of specialized counseling and consulting services to a larger segment of the public, stressing the importance of continued cooperation between civil society centers and the Ministry of Interior in providing services to all members of society, and that is an evidence to the great vision of supporting the social work of the affiliated centers of that always seeks for to have strategic partners with a strong interest in the development and confidence of Qatar community, Share their interest and endeavors towards sustainable community development.
