In cooperation with both the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Doha International Family Institute, the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, organized an interactive forum titled “Towards a Safe Child” for social and psychological specialists in schools. The event was held at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Theater – Building No. (2).
This interactive awareness Forum aims to contribute to protecting children from violence and raise awareness of social and psychological specialists in both public and private schools. It also seeks to strengthen ongoing communication and cooperation between the participating entities. Throughout the Forum, several interactive discussion sessions will be held, showcasing practical experiences that help social and psychological specialists understand the mechanisms for engaging with children and implementing proper child-protection procedures.
An elite group of academics, experts, and consultants specializing in social and family protection will participate in the presentation of the discussion sessions at the interactive Forum. Ms. Ibtisam Ayoub – Research and Family Policy Officer at the Doha International Family Institute, Ms. Azza Al-Ghamdi – Family Relations and Human Development Counselor from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Ms. Noora Al-Jarboei, Implementation and Monitoring Specialist in the Community Awareness Department of the AMAN Center for Social Protection and Rehabilitation will deliver the themes of the First Session, which will be titled “From Indicators to Understanding – Reading the Psychological and Social Signals in the Child Exposed to Harm”. In addition, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Abdullah – Psychological and Educational Consultant, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mulla – Psychologist in the (State of Kuwait), and Ms. Meyasa Al-Maamari, a Social Specialist at the AMAN Center, will participate in delivering the themes of the Second Session. The second session will be titled: “Towards Safety – Therapeutic Intervention Methods to Protect and Empower the Child”.
