The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre "Aman", a part of the Qatar Social Work Foundation under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, conducts a range of awareness initiatives and campaigns tailored to the significance of the holy month of Ramadan. These initiatives target women, children, victims of familial violence, and beneficiaries residing within the center's shelter building, aiming to foster a familial atmosphere for its inhabitants. Specifically, the focus lies on beneficiaries within the Internal Care Department (temporary shelter) of the Aman Center, where various activities are organized to imbue the Ramadan spirit. These include collaborative efforts with the beneficiaries to adorn the shelter building in preparation for the holy month, as well as the implementation of numerous awareness and interactive activities. Such activities encompass religious lectures held post-Taraweeh prayers in collaboration with Qatar Charity, motivating beneficiaries to memorize sections of the Holy Quran, and narrating stories of prophets to children.  Additionally, the center organizes various training programs, including a cooking course for children, engaging in recreational competitions, and preparing a program to celebrate the night of Garangao, such as preparing garangao treats. Mrs. Sheikha Al-Badi, Head of the Internal Care Department at the Aman Center, emphasized “the importance of such awareness and recreational activities for the beneficiaries residing in the temporary shelter building. The primary objective is to provide protection and rehabilitation, addressing any challenges faced by women, children, and victims of familial violence. The collective effort aims to safeguard, rehabilitate, and reintegrate them into society, fostering family safety and stability. Ms. Sheikha Al-Badi underlined the significance of creating such an atmosphere and events during the holy month, citing their positive impact on mental, physical, and emotional well-being. These activities serve to break routine, boost self-confidence, and promote a familial atmosphere through collective participation and interactions.

The Community Awareness Department at the Aman Center also conducted awareness campaigns for women in Quran memorization centers and centers for girls and women as part of the center's activities during the holy month. The campaign is launched in various Quran memorization centers across different municipalities in the State. Additionally, cooperation will be established with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, specifically with the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance, to deliver an awareness lecture titled: "My Son is Safe.” Furthermore, the participation extended to attending lectures provided by the Ministry of Endowments "Awqaf" and Islamic Affairs addressing women's issues, their rights, duties, their position in Islam, and strategies for maintaining family cohesion. The sessions also elucidated the role of the Aman Center in providing services to women, children, and victims of family violence, outlining the reporting mechanisms in case of violence and underscoring the center's commitment to confidentiality and privacy. Ms. Bakhita Al-Ghayathin, Director of the Community Awareness Department at Aman Center, emphasized the significance of conducting this awareness campaign during Ramadan to reach a wider audience of women, children, and girls. The aim is to enhance awareness and education regarding social protection and acquaint them with the role and services offered by the Aman Center to these target groups.

Among other events that Aman Center is keen to present to the public during the holy month is the publication of a series of awareness messages entitled "Ramadan Whispers" and organizing the Aman Ramadan Competition. Ms. Hanan Al-Ali, Director of the Communication and Media Office at Aman Center, expressed the Center's commitment to conducting awareness and entertainment activities for both employees and the public. These activities include activating the center's social media platforms to disseminate tailored awareness messages targeting parents, children, and women throughout the holy month. The Aman Ramadan Competition involves posing religious questions weekly, with winners announced every Thursday via the Instagram platform. Prizes are then distributed to the winners accordingly.
