The awareness campaign for the (919) hotline of the Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center "AMAN", a center governed by the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, will be launched today for the targeted groups of women, children and victims of family breakdown due to violence, by allocating a dedicated section in the Doha Festival City complex from August 24-30 2022 for the awareness campaign.

This awareness campaign aims to spread awareness to enhance social protection and rehabilitation to reduce violence and family breakdown, by reporting any violence that may be experienced by any of the targeted groups of AMAN Center, including women and children and victims of family breakdown, and to provide the necessary protection by allocating highly professional cadres to monitor initial indicators for diagnosis and to monitor statistics accurately, in addition to recording the necessary data and responding to inquiries.

In this context, Ms. Maha Al-Mannai, Head of the Artistic Production Department at AMAN Center, expressed the need to raise awareness of the 919 hotline, which allows the targeted groups of women, children and victims of family breakdown, victims of violence, to call the hotline number (919), 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hotline service is an advanced service for receiving social protection requests and social, legal and psychological advisory services.

She also stressed the center is keen on cooperating with all the competent authorities to achieve the goals of protecting women and children. Therefore, it cooperated with some foreign language speakers to add more than one language to serve our target groups, covering different nationalities in the country, especially with the country hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the 919 hotline service is available in several languages, including: French, Portuguese, Spanish and Urdu (the most common languages in Southwest Asia such as India, Pakistan and Iran) and Tagalog (the official language in the Philippines and spoken by many peoples in other countries around the world) Mandarin (the official language in the People's Republic of China) in addition to Arabic and English.

For her part, Mrs. Reem Al-Sindi, Head of the Hotlines and Support Department at Aman Center, expressed “the center's keenness to educate parents and target groups of victims of violence and family breakdown through the hotline, so that the awareness campaign will achieve its goals and the vision of the center's mission in spreading awareness and education, and providing social protection and rehabilitation to reduce violence in all its forms.

Ms. Reem Al-Sindi also confirmed that the 919 hotline is one of the access channels to the center. The beneficiary of the services of the AMAN Center can communicate with the center through several channels, including the hotline and the external offices of the center, such as: the Public Prosecution, Pediatric Emergency at Sidra Medicine, Al Wakra medical Hospital, and Hamad general Hospital, in addition to attendance by visiting the center's headquarters, or communication through the use of the center's accounts on social media platforms and electronic applications available on smart devices."

It is worth noting that the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center "AMAN" is concerned with protecting and rehabilitating women and children victims of violence and family breakdown, and reintegrating them into society.
