QATAR FOUNDATION FOR SOCIAL WORK PARTICIPATES IN THE FIRST CONFERENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR CHILD PROTECTION INCPT. AMAN CENTRE BECAME

A delegation from the Qatar Foundation for Social Work participated in a conference on children's social, educational and psychological protection, which was held in Kuwait from 12-14 February under the patronage of the Minister of media and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

Aman center was elected in the conference to be a member of the Advisory Committee of the International Organization for the Protection of the Child.

This is the second international membership to be received by Aman Center as the Center was elected in November 2018 as the regional representative in the Middle East for Child Helpline International, which includes 181 members from 147 countries and possesses a consultative status by the United Nations.

This is in the first conference of the international organization for child protection INCPT.

This was established in 2014. Where it locates in Brussels and has branches in several countries and is concerned with the protection of children in accordance with international principles and standards.

The Foundation provided a presentation about the achievements of civil society organizations in the state of Qatar in a session entitled "The role of civil society organizations in protecting children in the state of Qatar".

Also, Mr. Mansour Al-Saadi, Executive Director of Aman Center and Regional Representative of child helpline international, in the Middle East participated with paperwork about (the role of the helpline in children protection).

The participants praised the efforts of the State of Qatar represented by Qatar Foundation for Social Work and the achievements made by the affiliated centers, especially in the field of children protection.

 The delegation also participated in the general discussions and responses to the queries, as well as the drafting of the recommendations and the conference final statement.

The delegation also included Mr. Fahad Al-Mohammadi from Dreama Center, Reem Al-Sindi from Aman Center, Mubarak Al-Kuwari from Al-Shafallah Center and Asma Al-Ansari from Wifaq Center

In 2013 by the decision of H.H Shaikha Moza Bint Nasser, the Protection & Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) was established. The center looks after protection & rehabilitation of women and children who are victims of violence and reintegrating them in society.
