MS. MARYAM AL-MISNID: TRAINING ALL SPECIALISTS ON NEW POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS ADOPTED AT THE CENTRE IS A NECESSITY

AMAN Centre organizes a training workshop to uplift its employees' efficiency in the field of Protection

The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN), works under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, organizes a training programme titled “Training on AMAN's Policies, Procedures and Rehabilitation Protocols" for all its employees who work in the Centre's Protection and Rehabilitation Administrations. The training programme starts on 20 Sep. and ends on 15 Oct. 2020.

The workshop aims at training all participants on the most significant new policies, procedures and rehabilitation protocols adopted at the Centre, in addition to improving the cadres working in the field of protecting women and children and the field of family disintegration, to promote the mechanisms of protecting women and children and to realize family cohesion.

More than 70 of the Centre's social, psychological and legal specialists participate in the workshop. The workshop relies on the methodology of aggregating theoretical and practical sides.

Ms. Maryam Al-Misnid: Training all specialists on new policies, procedures and protocols adopted at the Centre is a necessity

Ms. Maryam Al-Misnid – AMAN's ED – said: “Training all specialists on new policies, procedures and protocols adopted at the Centre is a necessity. 30 new policies and procedures have been prepared, 19 of which are concerned with lodging; 11 general policies, as well as 4 protocols in terms of combating sexual and physical violence against children and women; in addition to one protocol for referral by third parties. Moreover, a code of ethics and new policies regarding AMAN's lodging house as a temporary shelter for AMAN's target groups have been also developed. All such policies, procedures and rehabilitation protocols will form the core training material to uplift the efficiency of AMAN's Specialists and improve their work continuously. The workshop's outputs and recommendations will entangle AMAN's future performance framework, through the strengthening of services provided to the target groups"

Mr. Bandar Al Khalifa – Head of AMAN's Protection Administration – said: “the workshop tackles AMAN's new policies and focuses on the most important procedures and rehabilitation protocols applied in the Protection and Rehabilitation Administrations, in a way that will expand the participants' knowledge in this field. Careful preparation for the workshop has been embraced to ensure that its topics and outputs comply with the needs of specialists in this field, to increase solid benefit out of it. The workshop will provide a clear framework of protection mechanism applied in AMAN Centre, to contribute in raising awareness about the services provided to protect and help target groups.
