The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center "AMAN", a center governed by the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, signed a cooperation protocol with UNICEF – Brussels. The agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ishaq, CEO of AMAN, and Mr. Abdulaziz Al Subaie, Chairman of UNICEF.

The cooperation agreement aims at strengthening cooperation between the parties thereof, achieving their common goals by creating a sustainable and practical framework between them to enhance the quality of services provided to children, promoting the capabilities of regional and national partners through a sustainable program that provides the highest levels of care and social protection to children.

Child Helplines International is a non-profit organization founded in 2003, having its headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It has the supervisory capacity in the United Nations, and includes 181 members representing 147 countries, and all of them work under the slogan (Every Child has a Voice). It should be noted that the hotline (919) and the application (Help Me), which was launched by AMAN Center, helped elect the Center as a regional representative for Child Helplines International in the Middle East and North Africa.

As a result of this cooperation, the parties will cooperate to establish joint business and activities for children, by organizing training courses to build a system of competencies for the parties' affiliates, to provide full cooperation in training on the fields of competence of the parties to serve the target groups, to build and support strategic partnerships with institutions, organizations and research centers to benefit from their specialized programs of common interest to both parties, to develop scientific research, as well as to organize joint events, seminars, conferences and training courses in the fields of competence of both parties to serve the target groups.

In this context, Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ishaq, CEO of AMAN Center, indicated the importance of signing such cooperation protocols, which contribute to achieving the vision, mission and strategic objectives of AMAN Center to provide protection for children and create a safe environment for them. Through this cooperation with UNICEF, we will be able to benefit from and continuously develop the work mechanism, by organizing joint working sessions with them and with international institutions that are concerned with child protection, by exchanging experiences, information and data to provide advice and technical support to the parties, by developing communication, in accordance with the objectives and tools of mobilization and advocacy, with houses of expertise and research centers, by establishing academic partnerships to serve the target groups of both parties, and by organizing joint initiatives aiming at improving cooperation with various international organizations.

Mr. Abdulaziz Al Subaie, Chairman of UNICEF, said: “We are happy to sign a cooperation protocol with AMAN Center for several reasons, the most important of which is to protect our children and raise their awareness of any violence they may be exposed to, because they are the future. We are pleased to cooperate with and benefit from the expertise of AMAN Center, and we look forward to achieving our goal to provide the best services to children".

It should be noted that AMAN Center is concerned with the protection and rehabilitation of women and children victims of violence and family breakdown, and their reintegration into society.
