The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center "AMAN", a center governed by the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, signed a cooperation protocol agreement with the Belgian Foundation for Child Protection. The agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ishaq, Executive Director of AMAN Center, and from the Belgian organization (Child Focus) Mrs. Heidi De Pauw - CEO of the organization, who visited AMAN Center and was introduced to its services.

The cooperation agreement is intended to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between both parties and achieve their common objectives by creating a sustainable and practical framework between them in order to enhance the quality of services provided to children, and to support the capabilities of regional and national partners through a sustainable program based on providing the highest levels of care and social protection to children.

The Belgian international foundation, Child Focus, established in 1998 as an initiative of the families of the victims, is an organization that combats the phenomenon of child disappearance and exploitation of children and calls on persons to honor the victims and provide support to the parents and relatives of missing children.

On October 20, 1996, nearly 300,000 Belgian citizens took to the streets of the capital to demand the enhancement of the judicial system performance and the provision of protection, care and support for these children.

In accordance with this cooperation, this agreement will be executed between the two parties through organizing many events, activities and awareness campaigns, in addition to many training courses and workshops to serve the target groups of both sides, and to strive in achieving continuous development in the field of social protection and rehabilitation by taking advantage of studies and research related to children's issues.

In this context, Mr. Abdulaziz Al Ishaq, Executive Director of AMAN Center, emphasized the importance of signing cooperation protocols with several international and regional organizations. The cooperation of the AMAN Center with the Belgian Foundation for Child Protection will contribute to achieving benefit for both parties, through the exchange of experiences, information and data related to the workflow, in addition to the effort of the two sides to achieve innovation and development in proposals for work mechanisms in the field of social protection for children. This cooperation will also contribute to highlighting the role and services provided by the AMAN Center to the targeted groups of women, children and victims of family breakdown from abuse and violence by transferring the center's experience in providing the necessary protection to reduce violence at the international and regional levels.

In this regard, Mrs. Heidi De Pauw, CEO of Child Focus, expressed "the importance of activating the international partnership with the State of Qatar, especially with the Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center "AMAN", as through the cooperation protocol, several events, awareness sessions and discussion sessions will be held on issues related to children."

In addition, Mrs. Heidi expressed her pleasure for the level of services provided to children in AMAN Center. She stressed the necessity to utilize this model internationally.

It is worth noting that the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center "AMAN" is concerned with protecting and rehabilitating women and children victims of violence and family breakdown, and reintegrating them into society.
