As part of AMAN's awareness initiatives, the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers operating under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has launched the "Learn with AMAN" Initiative. The launch event was attended by Mr. Khalid Al-Kuwari, Deputy Executive Officer of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, along with directors of its affiliated social centers, as well as a representative from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Executive Director of the Qatar Voluntary Center, Mr. Moaid Al Qahtani.

This awareness initiative stems from the Center's commitment to providing comprehensive care for children that extends beyond social and psychological aspects to encompass the educational dimension, which is a fundamental pillar in building children's characters and enhancing their future opportunities. The Initiative also aims to empower children to acquire the essential skills that ensure the continuity of their education and their integration into the school environment. This is achieved through the establishment of an internal classroom within AMAN Center's Residential Care Department, offering a simplified and integrated educational program that caters to children's needs. The program also provides children with a strong academic foundation within a safe and stimulating environment, ultimately preparing them for future integration into the school setting.

This Initiative is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Curriculum and Learning Resources Department. This cooperation helps align the educational program with national curricula and provides the necessary pedagogical support to ensure high-quality educational outcomes. Coordination has also been made with a number of volunteer female teachers to deliver educational lessons to the children during the pilot phase of the Initiative, while evaluating its results and exploring the potential for continued collaboration and expanded volunteer participation to support the program's sustainability and the achievement of its objectives.

The "Learn with AMAN" Initiative targets children benefiting from AMAN Center's services in the Residential Care Department who face educational challenges through a foundational program that focuses on developing literacy and numeracy skills. The Initiative also seeks to foster personal skills and enhance self-confidence, thereby preparing these children to enroll in formal education and continue their educational journey.

In this regard, the Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), Mr. Fadl Al Kaabi, stated: "The 'Learn with AMAN' Initiative emerges from our firm belief that education is a fundamental right for every child and one of the most important tools for protection and empowerment. Through this Initiative, the Center seeks to bridge the educational gap among children benefiting from its services in the Residential Care Department, and to provide a supportive educational environment that offers them equal opportunities for learning and development."

Mr. Fadl Al-Kaabi further emphasized that this Initiative is a significant improvement towards enhancing the quality of services provided to children in Residential Care. It also establishes the principle of integration between care, protection, and education, in line with the Center's vision and mission of empowering children and building their future within a cohesive family environment.

He also emphasized the importance of the partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Curriculum and Learning Resources Department, given its pivotal role in supporting the Initiative. "We also appreciate the efforts of the volunteer female teachers who embody the values of social responsibility and contribute to building a better future for our children," He added.

For her part, Ms. Amna Al-Mahmoud, Director of the Rehabilitation Department at AMAN Center, stated that the "Learn with AMAN" Initiative is based on a foundational educational program designed according to the children's educational needs, focusing on building the basic skills that enable them to integrate into formal education and enhance their confidence in their abilities. She added that during the pilot phase, the impact will be measured and implementation mechanisms will be developed, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the Initiative and the achievement of the best outcomes for the beneficiary children.

Ms. Hanan Al-Ali, Director of the Communication and Media Office at AMAN Center, also clarified that the "Learn with AMAN" Initiative highlights the importance of integrating roles between government institutions and civil society organizations. She added that this collaboration helps support children and create a safe and stimulating educational environment that contributes to developing their capabilities and empowering them to build a more stable and secure future, stating that Today's Children are the Future of Tomorrow.
