In collaboration with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Qatar Charity In partnership with Hyatt Plaza Doha as a strategic partner for the implementation of AMAN events A series of diverse Ramadan activities at the AMAN Center

The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, is implementing a series of activities and awareness campaigns tailored to the holy month of Ramadan. These initiatives target women, children, and victims of family disintegration and violence, as well as beneficiaries of the Center’s services within the Residential Care Department (temporary shelter). The aim is to create a supportive, family-like environment for these cases. The activities focused primarily on beneficiaries of the Center’s services within the Residential Care Department (temporary shelter) at the AMAN Center. A range of activities was implemented to foster a Ramadan atmosphere, including engaging beneficiaries in decorating the premises in preparation for the holy month. In coordination with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Qatar Charity, an awareness program titled “Ramadan Lights” was launched, featuring a series of activities and tailored programs for beneficiaries in residential care. These included organizing religious lectures and sessions, as well as storytelling activities for children centered on the lives of the Prophets. In addition, dedicated Qur’an memorization programs were introduced to encourage beneficiaries to learn and memorize selected verses of the Holy Qur’an. The Center also offered a variety of training and recreational activities, including cooking workshops for children and entertainment competitions. Preparations were also made for celebrating Garangao Night, including the distribution of traditional Garangao gift packages.

In this context, Mr. Fadl Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center “AMAN”, emphasized the importance of collaboration with external entities to implement such awareness and recreational activities for beneficiaries of the Center’s services within the Residential Care Department (temporary shelter). He noted that the primary objective is to provide a safe environment for them through the collective efforts of the Center’s specialized staff, as well as to integrate them into various events and community activities.

Mr. Fadl Al Kaabi further emphasized the importance of working toward the reintegration of the targeted groups with their families and the wider community, enabling them to achieve safety and family stability. He noted that such an atmosphere and activities during the holy month of Ramadan have a positive impact on psychological, physical, and mental well-being, while also enhancing self-confidence through group participation and interaction, thereby contributing to the creation of a strong and cohesive family environment.

In continuation of the Center’s celebration of International Women’s Day, Mr. Fadl Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the “AMAN Center”, highlighted the Center’s participation through the allocation of an awareness booth at Place Vendome Mall, aimed at introducing the Center’s role and services provided to target groups of women, children, and victims of family disintegration and violence. He also noted that the Center will collaborate with Hyatt Plaza Doha to organize AMAN’s Ramadan activities, including the Aman Ramadan Competition, which is one of the Center’s annual initiatives during the holy month.

In this context, Ms. Hanan Al Ali, Director of the Communication and Media Office at the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center “AMAN”, expressed her appreciation for this fruitful cooperation with Hyatt Plaza Doha, which serves as a strategic partner for Aman’s Ramadan activities, particularly the AMAN Ramadan Competition,

held annually during the holy month. She explained that the concept of the competition is based on presenting a set of interactive questions on a weekly basis.

She further noted that the Center also offers an awareness segment on the theatre at Hyatt Plaza Doha every Monday and Wednesday throughout the holy month of Ramadan. These segments include educational and recreational competitions for children and mall visitors, with the aim of reaching the widest possible number of beneficiaries, including women, children, and girls. The initiative also seeks to enhance awareness and education in the field of social protection, and to introduce the public to the role and services of AMAN Center in supporting its target groups.

Ms. Hanan Al Ali further confirmed that the AMAN Ramadan Competition will also be launched through the Center’s official social media platforms. Valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners, sponsored by Hyatt Plaza Doha, in its capacity as the strategic partner of the initiative.

She also emphasized the Center’s commitment to publishing an awareness segment titled “Ramadan Reflections,” which will be shared across the Center’s social media channels. This initiative will include a series of awareness messages and videos targeting parents, children, and women, in a manner that aligns with the spirit of the holy month and contributes to building strong and cohesive families.
