الحملة الوطنية للعودة إلى المدارس وحملة وصل عيالك

In cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers operating under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, participated in presenting awareness-raising and recreational activities as part of the National Back-to-School Campaign and the “Drop off Your Kids” Campaign. The activities were organized by the Hour and Hour Program Administration at West Walk. AMAN Center participated through a dedicated awareness and recreational booth, in addition to presenting an interactive segment on stage. This participation forms part of AMAN Center’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of protection and enhance community awareness among children and families at the beginning of the new academic year.

The AMAN Center booth attracted a large turnout of children and parents. It featured a range of awareness-raising and interactive activities aimed at introducing visitors to the Center’s services, promoting concepts of personal safety and protection, raising awareness of violence and bullying prevention, and highlighting the importance of family dialogue. The booth also offered educational materials and gifts and provided answers to visitors’ inquiries.

The Center also participated in the event’s stage program by presenting an interactive awareness and entertainment segment that combined education and enjoyment. The segment aimed to deliver awareness messages to children in a simple and engaging manner that would help reinforce positive behaviors, build their self-confidence, and encourage them to seek help if they experience any form of harm.

In this context, Mr. Fadal Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), stated that the Center’s participation in the National Back-to-School Campaign and the "Drop off Your Kids" Campaign stems from its belief in the importance of taking part in community events targeting families and children, as the Center is a partner in implementing these awareness campaigns.

He noted that the start of the new academic year is an important opportunity to promote concepts of protection and prevention. "At AMAN Center, we seek to reach members of the community on various occasions and at different events, and we believe that early awareness is a cornerstone in preventing various forms of violence and abuse. Our participation in these national campaigns represents an important opportunity to enhance children’s and parents’ awareness of children’s rights, safe behaviors, and the importance of building a supportive and safe school and family environment for our students," he said.

Mr. Al Kaabi added that "Parents’ presence in their children’s lives plays a vital role in preparing them for the new school year and positively shaping their behavior. The “Drop off Your Kids” Campaign is based on the belief that taking children to school is not simply a daily task, but an opportunity for parents to talk with their children, listen to them, and strengthen their bond. It also gives parents a chance to understand what their children are thinking about and share in the details of their day. This helps children feel cared for, safe, and confident, supports their emotional and educational readiness to learn and succeed, and contributes to raising a safer and more stable generation.

For her part, Ms. Bakhita Al Ghayathin, Director of the Community Awareness Department at AMAN Center, explained that the Center’s participation focused on delivering innovative awareness messages tailored to the target age group, combining interaction and entertainment to achieve the greatest possible impact. "At AMAN Center, we are keen to make our participation interactive and engaging for children by offering educational and recreational activities that enjoyably convey preventive messages. This helps reinforce the values of self-respect and safe interactions with others, promote rejection of bullying and violence, and encourage children to express their feelings and seek support and help when they face any problem. It also helps familiarize them with appropriate ways of addressing and resolving problems,” she said.

For her part, Ms. Hanan Al Ali, Director of the Communications and Media Office at AMAN Center, emphasized that the Center’s participation forms part of its media strategy aimed at strengthening its presence at community events and reaching the widest possible audience. "We are keen to make the most of major community occasions to deliver impactful awareness messages that respond to the needs of the community. We also make use of direct engagement and interactive activities to communicate the messages of the National Back-to-School Campaign and the ‘Drop off Your Kids’ Campaign in innovative ways that raise community awareness and help build effective partnerships with various entities across the country, in support of the Center’s objectives of promoting a culture of protection and prevention." She said.

She also added that the participation builds on AMAN Center’s ongoing efforts to implement its awareness programs aimed at strengthening family security, protecting women and children, and promoting a culture of prevention through cooperation with various national institutions. These efforts contribute to building a more aware and safer society and support the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
