THE APPLICATION GETS NATIONAL ACCREDITATION FOR DIGITAL ACCESS AMAN CENTRE LAUNCHES THE FIRST MOBILE APPLICATION FOR FREE CONSULTATION FOR WOMEN "SHAWREENY"
Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), which is part of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has launched “Shawreeni" application, the first free electronic application on mobile devices which provides social, psychological and legal counseling services for women and aims to provide awareness and protection for women. This application comes in response to the growing needs to provide social, psychological and legal advice from experts and specialists in the field.
The application was launched under the auspices of Her Excellency Munira Bint Nasser Al Missned, Chairman of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, and in the presence of a number of dignitaries. Her Excellency Amal Bint Abdul Latif Al Mannai, CEO of the Foundation, launched the application with Mr. Mansour Al Saadi, Executive Director of Aman Center, and then accompanied the audience in a tour to see the most important services of the Center and the most important achievements and its initiatives.
The application service aims to facilitate the access of the counseling provided by Aman Center teamwork. The application focuses on women as the target category of the center, where woman or girl can request advice through the application to receive the reply within five working days through her mobile number or e-mail. A specialist team is working on examining, studying and preparing the response, and we expect an increase in the number of requests for consultations. A number of psychologists were recruited to offer help from Mental Health Friends Association (Weyak), and a number of lawyers from the Lawyers Association, as Aman Center has signed a cooperation protocols with (Weyak) Association and the Lawyers Association. Both organizations have nominated a number of specialists and consultants to provide their services according to a specific mechanism for the distribution of consultations by specialization.
The application was developed only by Aman self-help and can now be loaded on smart devices and mobile devices from Apple Store and Google Play, and is characterized by privacy and confidentiality, where a password is only send to the user to enter it upon receipt of the answer of his consultation. The Center also allows the user to view his previous consultations, as well as a number of important links.
Amal Al Mannai: "Shawreeny" is a major mechanism for activating Qatar's international commitments
Her Excellency Amal Bint Abdul Latif Al Mannai, CEO of Qatar Foundation for Social Work said that, the launch of the “Shawreeny" application is an important mechanism for civil society organizations in the framework of enhancing the international commitments of the State of Qatar by activating the provisions of international conventions through practical practices to achieve empowerment and seeking to provide service easily and safely, also to raise women's awareness of their issues, thereby contributing to their ability to overcome the challenges they face.
She stressed that “Shawreeny" application contributes to the realization of the human rights of women by seeking to provide both access and the right to build awareness and knowledge. There is no doubt that the empowerment of women is achieved by building their capacity and defining their rights. She added that the Qatar Foundation for Social Work seeks to achieve empowerment for all target categories. This approach is considered a basis for all centers affiliated with the Foundation.
Mansour Al-Saadi: Shawreeny is the outcome of ongoing efforts and studies
Mansoor Al Saadi, Executive Director of Aman Center, said that the Center is keen to follow a scientific methodology in all its activities and applications, where there was a study of the needs of women in Qatar, and the study confirmed the need for a safe application to achieve the right of knowledge which characterized by independence and privacy, hence came the idea of developing Shawreeny, where it took about six months to go out to light, and we were keen to meet the needs of the target categories. so that the application is appropriate and proportionate to women in terms of form and content also, through this service will be able to send any number of women Consultations in various fields, and will have a full reference to all of their consultations that they want to refer to in the future through her account on the application.
Maha Al-Mansouri: The application of Shawreeny gets to the national accreditation of digital access
Ms. Maha Al Mansouri, CEO of Mada center, said: "we belief that persons with functional limitations, including those with disabilities and older people, have the right to access to all information, applications, electronic services and digital content. Mada Center works on supporting, developing and approving digital boards in accordance with the international standards for digital access, and provides consultation and build the capacity of partners. The application of shawreeny of Aman center gets to the national accreditation of digital access is the result of cooperation in this field, as we believe that achieving our vision of improving access to ICT in Qatar and the world can only be achieved by building partnerships with different facilities. In Mada center we highly appreciate the efforts of the working team at Aman to create Shawreeny application to ensure the access of people with functional limitations to the Center's services. This accreditation is an addition to Qatar's Digital Access Achievements file, which ranked the fifth place in the world according to the Digital Access Rights Index, and in support of the Digital Access Rate in Qatar which is 94%.
Nour al-Hashemi: a multidisciplinary team for Shawarneey
Noor Al Hashemi, Head of the Shawreeny application team, said that Aman Center has adopted in the developing of the application to the availability of the most competent experts and specialists in the field, who were provided with references and specialized books that they may need when providing their consultations, She added that the response to the consultation will pass through a number of stages, including the first response, then the discussion with a specialized team, and then the final review according to the agreed opinion, as this mechanism ensures that the consultation is concise and accurate and that is result of the experiences and views of a number of experts not one opinion, which distinguishes the consultation provided through the application as the team of consultants combines academic professional experience and practical experience from the actual practice, which earns the consultation of the application the realism.

In the year of 2002, Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser established the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) in order to provide services to the target categories of violence and family fractures victims from children and women and those who may expose to it according to the criteria set for each category in the fields of social protection, rehabilitation and social rehabilitation, also awareness and education.
