As part of the Eid Al-Adha celebrations under the theme "Our Joy this Eid," the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), one of the centers run by the Qatar Social Work Foundation, collaborated with the management of the "Hour and Hour" program to participate in awareness campaigns. With the objective of promoting family cohesion and fostering joy and happiness among members of the community, Aman's awareness and leisure pavilion was established at Centro Mall as part of the festive celebrations.

The event witnessed significant attendance and engagement from children and families. The Center was keen to deliver a range of awareness, educational, and recreational activities and programs aimed at enhancing community awareness of the importance of a safe family environment, while reinforcing the concepts of protection and psychological and social support for children and families.

This participation is a result of the Center's mission to strengthen social ties and foster family cohesion by attending national and local events that allow for direct interaction with different facets of society. This helps spread awareness messages through interactive approaches that are accessible and relatable to the public.

In this regard, Mr Fadal Mohammed Al-Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), reaffirmed the Center's dedication to taking part in community initiatives that promote social cohesion and family unity, especially during events that unite families and children in an atmosphere of joy and closeness. According to him, Aman's involvement in the "Our Joy this Eid" event highlights how crucial it is to use these occasions to increase public awareness and reinforce the ideas of community protection and family safety through interactive methods. Through these initiatives, the Center seeks to provide awareness-based and recreational content that engages families and children while promoting positive values associated with dialogue, cooperation, and family inclusion, thereby supporting the Center’s efforts in the fields of prevention and community protection.

According to Ms. Hanan Al Ali, Director of the Communications and Media Office at the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), community events are a crucial venue for disseminating awareness messages through creative and engaging methods. She also stressed that such involvement strengthens direct engagement with the community across its various segments.

She further affirmed that such initiatives enhance the activation of the principle of community partnership with various sectors across the State.

The Center’s participation featured a range of recreational segments, competitions, and interactive activities, as well as the introduction of the “Journey of Safety” game designed for children. In addition, awareness messages were delivered to promote the values of respect, dialogue, and cooperation within the family, in a manner consistent with the Center’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

Ms. Tamani Al Yafei, Chief Executive Officer of the “Hour and Hour” Program, likewise expressed that the “Our Joy this Eid” event was launched in recognition of the importance of strengthening social bonds and reviving the authentic spirit of Eid within Qatari society. She noted that the event sought to provide a comprehensive family-oriented experience that combines entertainment, heritage, and culture within a framework that reflects the values of Eid and its humanitarian significance.

“Through this event, we were keen to create an open space for joy and social interaction among families and children, while offering a diverse Program that appeals to different age groups through heritage performances, interactive segments, and community activities that reflect Qatari identity through a contemporary lens,” Al Yafei stated.

“We firmly believe that such initiatives play a significant role in reinforcing the values of social communication, while strengthening the attachment of younger generations to our customs and traditions, particularly during religious occasions that constitute an integral part of the fabric of Qatari society,” she noted.
