AMAN CENTRE LAUNCHES AN INTRODUCTORY PAVILION FOR THE APPLICATION OF "SHAWREENI" AT THE UNIVERSITY AT THE APPLICATION SUPPORTS WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT WH
Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) launched with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, an introductory pavilion for the application of "Shawreeni" at the university's student building. It is the first free electronic application on mobile and smart devices. It provides social, psychological and legal counseling services for women as it aims to provide awareness and protection for women. This application comes in response to the increasing needs of social, psychological and legal counseling by experts and specialists in this field.
The pavilion was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Maryam Al-Ali Al-Maadid, Vice-President of Qatar University for Scientific Research, with Mr. Mansour Al-Saadi, Executive Director of Aman Center, who presented an explanation of the application before a number of students. The application service aims to facilitate the access of the counseling provided by Aman Center team work. The application focuses on women and girls as the target Categories of the center, where woman or girl can request advice through the application to receive the response within five working days through her mobile number or e-mail.
A specialized team was appointed to examine , study and prepare the response, and as we expecting increasing in the number of requests for consultations we also appointed a number of psychologists from the Mental Health Friends Association (Weyak) and a number of lawyers from the Lawyers' Association. Aman Center has signed cooperation protocols with " Weyak" Association and the Lawyers Association. Both organizations have nominated a number of specialists and consultants to provide their services according to a specific mechanism for the distribution of consultations by specialization.
The response to the consultation comes in a number of stages, including the initial response, then the discussion with a specialized team, and the final review, according to the agreed opinion, as this mechanism ensures that the consultation is concise and accurate and results from the experiences and views of a number of experts and not one opinion. Which characterize the advice provided through the application, also the team of consultants combines the professional experience of academic and practical experience from the actual practice, which earns the application consulting the privilege of realism.
The application was developed by self-help of Aman Center and took about a year and a half of work and can now be loaded on smart devices and mobiles from Apple Store and Google Play, and is characterized by privacy and confidentiality, where the password will be send to the user only to enter when receiving the answer of his consult. The Center also allows the user to access to his previous consultations, as well as a number of important links. In compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, "Shawreeni" application gained accreditation for Digital Access and is supported by Mada Center to provide access to people with functional limitations. This accreditation is an addition to the Qatar Digital Access Achievements file, which gained the fifth place in the world according to the Digital Access Rights Index, and to support of the Digital Access Rate in Qatar which is (94 %).
Amal Al-Mannai : Qatar Foundation for Social Work seeks to achieve empowerment for all target categories.
Her Excellency Amal Bint Abdul Latif Al Mannai, CEO of Qatar Foundation for Social Work said that, the launch of the “Shawreeni" application is an important mechanism for civil society organizations in the framework of enhancing the international commitments of the State of Qatar by activating the provisions of international conventions through practical practices to achieve empowerment and seeking to provide service easily and safely, also to raise women's awareness of their issues, thereby contributing to their ability to overcome the challenges they face.
She stressed that “Shawreeni" application contributes to the realization of the human rights of women by seeking to provide both access and the right to build awareness and knowledge. There is no doubt that the empowerment of women is achieved by building their capacity and defining their rights. She added that the Qatar Foundation for Social Work seeks to achieve empowerment for all target categories. This approach is considered a basis for all centers affiliated with the Foundation.
Maryam El Maadid: Shawreeni contributes in empowering women through building awareness and knowledge.
Dr. Maryam Maadhid has stated that "we are happy to participate in this important event, especially as the target categories of this application are girls and women, stressing that the application supports the right to know. Which is one of the important rights that the university seeks to publish through various means.
She also mentioned that the existence of a free application of consultation with such ease and flexibility contributes to the dissemination of the psychological, social and legal awareness,
especially that the consultation comes from a reliable source and is confidential and privacy. She added that the dissemination of knowledge and awareness in this picture contributes to the empowerment of women in a practical way, especially that the application is easily available for people with disabilities.
Mansour Al-Saadi: We keen to activate the relationship with the university.
Mansour Al-Saadi, Executive Director of Aman Center, said: "We are keen to launch the Introductory Pavilion of the application at the University to serve our daughters and sisters from the University's students and employees, as part of the memorandum of understanding signed between Qatar Foundation for Social Work and the University,
as well as cooperation in the field of practical training. He added also, that we have a plan to take advantage of the University's capabilities in supporting the consultations provided through application through the use of the university library and its specialized references, as well as professors, experts and researchers specialized in the social, psychological and legal fields.

In the year of 2002, Her Highness Sheikha / Mozah Bint Nasser established the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) in order to provide services to the target categories of violence and family fractures victims from children and women and those who may expose to it according to the criteria set for each category in the fields of social protection, rehabilitation and social rehabilitation, also awareness and education. The Center works from 2013 as part of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work.
