AMAN CENTRE HONORS THE WINNERS OF THE BEST “NON-VIOLENCE” PHOTOS.

Protection and social Rehabilitation center (Aman), as a part of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, announce the winners of contest that was launched by Aman Center last October in line with the International Day of Non-Violence, to raise awareness and forgiveness against family violence.

The contest was organized by Aman Center in cooperation with Qatar Photographic Society.

Three Hundred Photographer had registered at the contest, a Hundred of theme competed with four Hundred Photos, the competition has generated a great interaction in the social networks.

Through the effective cooperation with Qatar Photographic Society, the contest succeeded in raising awareness of fighting violence, Professional juries committee had been formed in accordance with the award committee of Aman Center for the nomination of the winning photo as per the terms that have been announced in the registration for the award, and to achieve the social goal of the contest. Based on that Aman Center honored the best five competitors in the contest as follows:

  1. Photographer / Mohamed Naguib Mahmoud Nasr - First place.
  2. Photographer / Waseem Bashar Al Khader            - Second place
  3. Photographer / Ziad Hanna Azar                           - Third place
  4. The photographer / Mohammed Thabet Salem,      - Fourth place
  5. Photographer / Ali Gad                                            -Fifth place

Each one of them received a certificate of appreciation and a financial reward, and a number of prizes were awarded to winners of the sixth to the tenth place.

The contest was launched by Aman Center last October in line with the International Day of Non-Violence, to raise awareness of the serious effect of violence on family and society in general and women and children in particular, and to promote a culture of social peace by encouraging individuals to portray and document their creations that reflects violence subject.
