As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its services and make them more accessible to the beneficiaries, the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers operating under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has opened its fourth external office in the healthcare sector at the Women’s Wellness and Research Center, 

The new office marks another step in AMAN’s commitment to bringing protection and rehabilitation services closer to beneficiaries and ensuring a faster response to their needs. It also strengthens collaboration with healthcare institutions in addressing cases involving women and children.

The opening of the new Office forms part of AMAN’s broader strategy to develop the Social Protection System and expand the network of external offices. This will facilitate the intake and assessment of cases, provide psychological, social, and rehabilitation support, and enhance coordination and referral pathways with partner organizations. These efforts are designed to promote early intervention and ensure that beneficiaries receive timely, high-quality services in line with best professional practices, while safeguarding the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy. 

In this context, Mr. Fadal Al Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), said that the opening of the Center’s Fourth External Office marks an important milestone in AMAN’s efforts to improve access to its services for its target groups. He noted that locating the Office within the Women’s Wellness and Research Center will enable more integrated and timely service delivery and strengthen the effectiveness of interventions in cases requiring a multidisciplinary response.

Mr. Fadal Al Kaabi also emphasized AMAN’s commitment to bringing its services closer to beneficiaries, noting that this approach will improve the quality and timeliness of the Center’s response and foster closer coordination between healthcare and social service providers, thereby ensuring the highest levels of protection and care for women and children.

The opening of this Office is a continuation of the Center's approach to building an integrated system based on partnership and institutional coordination, in line with its vision and strategy to provide services that are more efficient and sustainable.

For her part, Ms. Amna Al Mahmoud, Director of the Rehabilitation Department at AMAN Center, explained that the External Offices represent one of the Center’s key channels for accessing its services. They also serve as an important mechanism for early intervention, enabling cases to be assessed promptly and appropriate rehabilitation plans to be developed for each beneficiary. This facilitates the provision of comprehensive support and helps identify appropriate solutions through integrated rehabilitation services that address the beneficiaries' psychological and social needs. She added that having an office within the Women’s Wellness and Research Center provides an opportunity for direct coordination with medical teams, ensuring the delivery of integrated professional interventions that contribute to recovery and stability and support the social reintegration of beneficiaries served by the Center.

Ms. Rawda Al Marri, Head of the External Offices Section within AMAN Center’s Protection Department, also emphasized that the opening of the new Office is part of the Center’s ongoing plan to expand its External Offices Network geographically. This expansion is intended to make services more accessible to beneficiaries and enhance the efficiency of coordination with partner entities. She noted that the new Office represents a valuable addition to AMAN’s External Offices Network across the healthcare sector. It will help streamline case intake, expedite referral and follow-up procedures, and strengthen direct communication with medical professionals and specialized teams, ultimately contributing to improved service quality for beneficiaries.

It is worth noting that the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) is committed to raising awareness and promoting education on the protection and rehabilitation of women and children in the State of Qatar. AMAN Center was established in 2013 with a view to protecting and rehabilitating women and children, victims of violence and family disintegration, as well as reintegrating them into society.

Through its External Offices, AMAN continues to strengthen the Social Protection System, develop institutional partnerships, and provide integrated services that address the needs of women and children. These efforts contribute to fostering a safe and supportive environment, enhancing quality of life, and promoting family stability within the community. The Center’s External Offices include offices at healthcare and security institutions, including the Capital Security Department, Sidra Medicine, Hamad General Hospital, and Al Wakra Hospital.
