AMAN Center Hosts 45 SDG Ambassadors to Bolster Awareness of its Role in Family Protection

The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), a subsidiary of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, received a delegation of 45 child ambassadors for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This introductory visit was strategically designed to cultivate the younger generation’s awareness of the center’s pivotal role and the specialized social protection services it renders to the community.

This visit underscores Aman Center’s dedication to fortifying community partnerships and instilling a culture of protection across all societal strata, with a particular focus on children. The program featured a comprehensive presentation on the center’s mission, followed by an organized tour of its primary facilities, including the Reception Department, the Hotline and Support Department, and the Aman Rehabilitation Lounges. Furthermore, the ambassadors were briefed on the center’s integrated psychological, social, and legal support services, as well as its rehabilitation and outreach programs, which include the "Aman" mobile application and flagship awareness initiatives such as "My Book is My Friend" and the "Aman Journey" educational game.

In this regard, Mr. Fadl Al-Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation (Aman), emphasized the center’s firm belief in the importance of investing in the consciousness of rising generations. He noted that familiarizing them with the functions of social protection institutions enhances their sense of security and civic duty, asserting that welcoming the SDG Ambassadors represents a significant leap toward fostering a generation that is fully cognizant of its rights and capable of actively propagating a culture of safety within society. 

The Acting Executive Director further reaffirmed the center’s commitment to delivering educational messages through simplified, interactive methodologies tailored specifically for children. This approach ensures that safety concepts are deeply rooted from an early age, bolstering their resilience in facing future challenges. He also expressed the center's intent to provide the necessary support to adopt the initiatives and awareness projects proposed by the ambassadors themselves, noting that children are the primary architects of the future. This visit ultimately confirms Aman Center’s unwavering commitment to its educational mandate and its drive to empower children as active participants in promoting protection, in direct alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals aimed at building a secure and sustainable society.

Ms. Eman Al-Obaidi, Executive Director of the SDG Ambassadors Center, commended the ambassadors' visit to the Aman Center, praising this qualitative initiative and its reflection of a steadfast commitment to forging effective partnerships and fostering the exchange of expertise. She emphasized that this productive meeting represents a strategic milestone in the frontline efforts to support and empower the youth, unlocking broader horizons for future collaboration in the realms of development and awareness. Furthermore, she underscored the vital importance of sustaining such encounters, citing their profound role in establishing a supportive and stimulating environment that reinforces the pivotal contribution of the younger generation to society.

For her part, Ms. Hanan Al-Ali, Director of the Communication and Media Office at the Aman Center, affirmed that this visit highlights the significance of direct engagement with children. She noted that hosting the child ambassadors for the Sustainable Development Goals is integral to the center's ongoing efforts to elevate community awareness regarding its mission and to deliver educational messages through innovative methods tailored to various age groups. She emphasized that children are essential partners in building a safer future, and through such visits, the center remains dedicated to constructing effective bridges of communication with the community. This reinforces the center’s image as a leading supportive and protective entity for children, ultimately contributing to the realization of comprehensive family and societal stability.
