The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), one of the centers operating under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, continues its awareness activities under the theme “A Safe Environment in Every Home.” The initiative targeted parents and guardians with the aim of fostering a safe, violence-free home environment built on dialogue, support, and psychological well-being.

The initiative stems from the Center’s commitment to promoting prevention before problems arise. It focused on raising families’ awareness of family safety, positive parenting practices, and child protection, while also providing practical tools for managing psychological pressures at home. These efforts strengthen family stability and safeguard women and children.

In this regard, the Acting Executive Director of the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), Mr. Fadl Al Kaabi, remarked: “At AMAN Center, we believe that the family is the cornerstone of a safe and resilient society. Creating a secure home environment starts with empowering families through awareness. Through our ‘A Safe Environment in Every Home’ initiative, we aim to provide families with the key skills needed to foster strong and cohesive family relationships based on open communication and mutual respect. Such an environment supports the positive upbringing of children, strengthens the protection of women, and promotes family stability and unity.

Mr. Fadl Al Kaabi further emphasized the Center’s commitment to expanding the reach of such awareness programs through partnerships with various stakeholders, reflecting its social responsibility to prevent violence and enhance family well-being. He noted that these efforts align with the State of Qatar’s direction to foster a safe and cohesive society under the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and AMAN’s new Strategy 2026–2030.

The “A Safe Environment in Every Home” initiative was developed through the delivery of awareness workshops and interactive dialogue sessions for parents and guardians, organized in coordination with a number of AMAN’s partners from both the public and private sectors. The initiative has been implemented in collaboration with a number of key partners, including the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Lusail University, the General Authority for Minors’ Affairs, Al Minaretein Center at Education City Mosque, Halima Al Saadia Primary School for Girls, and the Moza bint Fahd Center for Quran Memorization. In addition, awareness sessions were held at the Qatar National Library and the Katara Cultural Village Foundation. Efforts are also ongoing to coordinate with several other government entities throughout the year. More than 400 beneficiaries were engaged in these awareness workshops during the second quarter of 2026. The workshops were met with strong engagement from the target audience. Through these efforts, AMAN strives to provide protection and foster a safe and inclusive environment where women and children can live with dignity, security, and well-being.

For her part, Ms. Bakhita Al Ghayathin, Director of the Community Awareness Department at AMAN Center, stated that the Center’s awareness initiatives are part of its ongoing efforts to reach families directly. She noted that the “A Safe Environment in Every Home” activity focuses on delivering practical and interactive awareness content that enables parents to apply the principles of family safety in their daily lives through simple and effective methods that promote dialogue and reduce negative behaviors at home.

Meanwhile, Director of the Communications and Media Office at AMAN, Hanan Al Ali, affirmed AMAN's commitment to delivering awareness workshops and discussion sessions that reflect the realities of family life and address the actual needs of families. These efforts help raise sustainable awareness, one that positively impacts family stability and the well-being of its members, she said. Al Ali underscored AMAN's endeavors to collaborate with as many partners as possible to strengthen community partnerships and offer high-quality programs that contribute to building a well-informed and secure society in which the family serves as a nurturing environment for stability and safety
