900 Women and Girls Benefit from AMAN’s Awareness Workshops In Cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs AMAN Center Concludes a Series of Awareness Workshops at Women’s Qur’an Memorization Centers and Schools
The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), one of the centers operating under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has concluded a series of awareness workshops delivered at women’s Qur’an memorization centers and schools. The workshops were held in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and ran from October through November 2025.
In this context, Mr. Fadl Al-Kaabi, Acting Executive Director of AMAN Center, emphasized that the primary objective of these awareness workshops, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs through Qur’an memorization centers and schools, is to strengthen women’s sense of safety and underscore their vital role in maintaining family and community stability. He added that the workshops also aim to provide participants with new skills and practical tools to address potential challenges, while introducing them to the Center’s role and the essential protection services it offers.
Mr. Fadl Al-Kaabi also highlighted the key outcomes of these awareness workshops, which were delivered to the Center’s target groups of women and girls. He explained that the workshops focused on enhancing awareness and promoting community education on social protection issues, with the aim of contributing to the building of strong and cohesive families. More than 900 participants benefited from these awareness workshops. He added that the ultimate goal is to fulfill AMAN Center’s vision and mission of providing social protection and strengthening family cohesion to reduce all forms of violence.
For her part, Ms. Bakhita Al-Ghayyathin, Director of Community Awareness at AMAN Center, underscored the Center’s dedication to implementing its awareness workshops, noting that they covered a range of key themes related to social protection, family safety, and methods for safeguarding against online extortion. The workshops also explored the concept of bullying and its psychological effects.
Ms. Hanan Al-Ali, Director of the Communication and Media Office at AMAN Center, stressed the importance of working closely with a wide range of partners in the State to better serve the Center’s target groups of women, children, and victims of family breakdown and violence. She noted that awareness is the first line of prevention, and that through active community partnership with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, AMAN seeks to promote public education, strengthen family cohesion, and help create a safe and stable environment.
